Rooftop Smokehouse started out, like all good things, with friends, excess off booze and an empty wine barrel, on a Sant Antoni Rooftop. After the first delivery of a ton of oak was dumped on the door step of our building, we set about smoking everything we can get our hands on - focussing on local and seasonal ingredients that had provenance and heritage. We quickly outgrew our domestic set-up and moved to Fabrica Lehmann, where we converted an old red brick smoke stack dating back to the 1850s into Rooftops’ new HQ.
Here we smoke, ferment, pickle, cure, and experiment with ethically sourced produce from like-minded projects. We personally visit our farmer, fisherman and gardener, working closely with them as the seasons change.
Forging strong relationships with suppliers trusted for the quality and authenticity of their produce is everything to us. We contact farmers and local growers personally, hang out and eat with them and they with us. We understand and trust each other. Our meat comes from happy animals at Cal Rovira, our fish is local and line caught, organic vegetables direct from only local farmers and our ecological bread from Yellow Bakery.
Once back at the Rooftop Smokehouse, our specialty is to smoke, cure, pickle and ferment. We offer a selection of locally sourced products such as pastrami, bacon, duck, mackerel but also chutneys, pickles and mustard. Everything is homemade.
Our Pastrami Box, a great gift for your foodie friends, has all the ingredients you need to make your own pastrami sandwich. Contains pastrami, pickles, sauerkraut and beer mustard.

Order from Monday to Friday before 2pm, and have it ready for collection the next day between 9am and 6pm at our Rooftop Smokehouse kitchen, or have it delivered to your door in Barcelona.

KIMCHI & KRAUT: FERMENTATION WORKSHOP
In this fun and hands-on workshop, we'll provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make your own fermented and pickled foods.
You'll leave inspired with new recipes to try at home as well as as pickles and fermented products to take home with you. The class usually lasts approximatively 2 hours and includes all the materials, ingredients and your own fermenter to take home.

SMOKE & SAUSAGE: SMOKING BASICS AND SAUSAGE MAKING WORKSHOP
In our informal, hands-on workshop you’ll learn the basic rules of smoking food, and the techniques on how to stuff and link your own batch of sausages, which cuts of meat to use and what herbs and spices will make your sausage really rock.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have your very own sausage creations to take home along with our homemade beer mustard.
Spaces are limited to 8 people, and classes last around 2 to 3 hours. All materials and ingredients are included in the price.
